Jovan Lovrenski
About me
Jovan Lovrenski was born in 1977. In 2002 he received award as the best graduate student of the Medical Faculty at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. From 2003 he works at the Radiology Department of the Institute for Children and Adolescents Health Care of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Serbia (currently as a head of the Diagnostic and Joint Medical Affairs Service), and is a Full Professor of Radiology at the Medical Faculty of Novi Sad. He is one of the pioneers of lung ultrasound in children. His PhD and a great number of published articles were related to the paediatric lung ultrasound. He attended paediatric radiology observerships in Graz (Austria), Philadelphia (USA) and Bergamo (Italy). He was invited speaker at a number of national and international congresses, such as ESPR, IPR, WFUMB, CUDA and PETRA. He is mentoring both graduate and PhD students, and is a local coordinator of CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme of University Studies). He was a visiting professor in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay). In 2021 and 2022 he was among 2% of top-cited scientists in the world according to the Stanford University (USA). He is a chair of the Cardiothoracic Taskforce of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology (ESPR), member of the Education Committee of the ESPR, vice-chairman of the Asian-European Research Society for Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Ultrasound, ESPR representative in the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging, and chair of the Regional Paediatric Radiology Asociation.
