This three-day course is designed to provide essential insights into ultrasonographic diagnosis of emergency pathologies in pediatrics. Each day will focus on a specific area of interest:

  • Day 1: Pediatric lung ultrasonography
  • Day 2: Neonatal ultrasonography
  • Day 3: Ultrasound applications for various pediatric emergencies encountered in the Emergency Department

The course is tailored for pediatric radiologists, radiologists interested in pediatric imaging and radiology residents. Given its introductory level, it may also be of interest and value to neonatologists and pediatricians keen to expand their knowledge of ultrasound imaging.”

  • How to Get There from Riga

By Car

Jūrmala is just a 15-minute drive from Riga Airport or a 30-minute drive from Riga city center via the A10 motorway. Exit at the turn marked "Jūrmala" and follow the signs to the city center. The Baltic Beach Hotel is located in Majori, the central district of Jūrmala. Parking is available at the venue.
NB! All cars entering Jūrmala city limits must pay a daily entrance fee (EUR 3). If you are arriving from the east (Riga), pay at the toll point in Priedaine. If you are arriving from the west (Tukums), pay at the toll point in Vaivari. The entrance fee can be paid with cash, payment card, or via a mobile app. Read more.
By Train
Take a train from Riga Central Station heading to Dubulti, Tukums, or Sloka. Get off at Majori station, which is a short 5-minute walk from the Baltic Beach Hotel. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the counters in the main ticket hall or, for a slightly higher price, directly from the conductor on the train. Find train schedules and other information at www.vivi.lv.
By Taxi
Taxis and ride-share services like Bolt are readily available in Riga. The trip to Jūrmala typically takes about 25–30 minutes. If you choose to take a taxi, download the Bolt app and order your ride within the app. This is a reliable and scam-free service.
By Public Bus
Public minibuses also run between Riga and Jūrmala. Look for buses heading to Sloka or Dubulti, and get off at a stop near Majori. They depart from the Riga International Bus Terminal (location: Prāgas iela 1, Rīga). The journey takes around 30 minutes to reach Majori, the center of Jūrmala.
